Landis at Home FAQs
What kind of home care services do you provide?
Services provided in your home can include personal care, medication assistance, and/or support services such as cooking, laundry, errands and companionship. Visits can be scheduled for as little as 1 hour up to and including 24 hour continuous care. For a more detailed list of services refer to our brochure which can be downloaded from this site.
Is an assessment done prior to the start of services? Is it free? Can I change or discontinue services at any time?
A registered nurse will visit you in your home for a free assessment to help create a customized plan of care to fit your needs and wishes. You can change the type of service or number of visits whenever needed – we are very flexible and will work with you to provide the care you desire. You are not locked into a contract and it’s your choice when to discontinue services.

Does a physician need to authorize your services?
No. You decide on the support and services that you desire and how often the services are provided.
What about if I’m already receiving home health or hospice services?
We can supplement care provided by home health or hospice services and work in partnership with them.
What screening do you complete prior to hiring a caregiver?
Each applicant undergoes a face-to-face interview prior to being hired. References and criminal background checks are also done at time of hire, as well as verification of any licenses or certifications.
Do you provide training once the caregiver is hired?
Each employee completes an initial orientation and receives ongoing training. All staff members are supervised by a registered nurse. A registered nurse is on call 24/7 to support clients, families and team members.
